Backround

I graduated from Penn State University in May 2025 with a major in Broadcast Journalism and two minors in Digital Media Trends & Analytics and Entrepreneurship.

During my time at Penn State, I completed over six internships across the news industry, gaining hands-on experience in production, print, and broadcast journalism. These opportunities allowed me to work in a wide range of newsroom environments and understand how stories are built from every angle.

I grew up in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, with a large family. I love the beach, sushi, and a good book. I am also a runner and an artist, with watercolor as my favorite medium.

Beyond politics and daily news, I have always been deeply interested in globalization and how the world connects and intersects. Covering stories in the United States and understanding how policies and events here impact people across the globe is something that often stays with me long after the reporting ends. I had the opportunity to study abroad for a month, and during that time, I made a conscious effort to speak with people around me and understand what it was like to live and work somewhere different from the United States. That experience reinforced my belief that, unless we are exposed to new perspectives, we often remain limited to what we know. I love learning about new cultures and exploring the world through both travel and storytelling.

Current Work

In April 2025, I was offered a position at NBC News as a News Associate, where I rotate across multiple teams throughout the year.

During my first rotation with the New York Bureau, I assisted assignment editors with daily newsroom operations and traveled with reporters and producers in the field. My experience on the assignment desk provided a deeper understanding of how breaking news comes together.

  •  I gathered court documents, made extensive outreach calls to high-level officials, and updated the NBC organization team with updates on developing events across the Northeast.

  • I contributed to major stories, including the 2025 mayoral election, Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sentencing, the Luigi Mangione hearing, the Thanksgiving Day Parade, and events held by Zohran Mamdani following his election.

  • I logged incoming footage, breaking-news interviews, and long-form material. I monitored local newspapers and wire services across the Northeast, pitched stories aligned with correspondent beats, and sent pitches to the network.

  • Out in the field, I assisted crews with video, audio, B-roll, and MOS interviews, supporting correspondents with soundbites.

After my time with the New York Bureau, I joined the Weekend Nightly News team in early January.

  • On the nightly news team, I cut VOs, teases, and credits for weekend broadcasts. This requires effective newsgathering skills, sometimes finding visuals for a story from scratch.

  •  I also help produce weekly “There’s Good News Tonight” segments, handling scripting, sourcing, outreach, and interviews.

  • NBC Weekend Nightly News filmed a story I worked on, which is scheduled to air in March.
